Hey, I'm a rising sophomore at Stanford studying Electrical Engineering and Math. I'm deeply interested in theoretical machine learning, intelligence, and the mathematical structures underlying cognition and learning. I'm drawn to problems that advance humanity and deepen our understanding of how we think.
I come from the land of jasmine, Damascus, Syria, where I spent the first eighteen years of my life before coming to the US for college. In high school, much of my work centered around physics, and a long-tail distribution of hobbies spanning Arabic writing and calligraphy, philosophy, literature, mathematics — all of which shaped how I think about structure, abstraction, and beauty.
